About soyese.com

We want you to know exactly what you are answering and what your result means. Here it is, plainly.

What soyese.com is

A collection of tests to help you know yourself better: personality, reasoning, relationships, work and wellbeing. Two are free and complete; for the rest you can take the test for free and see a preview, and the full report is paid.

How we build the tests

The questions are original to soyese.com, inspired by well-known models in psychology:

• The Big Five (extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism and openness): we adapt the spirit of items from the International Personality Item Pool, which is in the public domain.
• Vocational interests: six areas from John Holland's model.
• Attachment style: the two dimensions of adult attachment theory (anxiety and avoidance).
• Personality types: four preferences inspired by Carl Jung's theory of psychological types. It is not the MBTI and is not affiliated with its owners.

How your results are calculated

• In scale tests, each trait is calculated by averaging your answers to its questions and is shown from 0 to 100. "Low" is under 40, "medium" 40 to 60 and "high" over 60.
• In type tests, your type is the one that scores highest; in two-option tests, the preference you chose most on each axis wins.
• In reasoning tests, the result depends on your correct answers. The "approximate index" converts your percentage of correct answers to a 70 to 130 scale in a linear way.

What they are not

• They are not diagnoses and do not replace a psychologist or psychiatrist.
• They have no population norms: a 70% in a trait means you answered consistently with that trait on this scale; it does not mean you outscore 70% of people.
• They are not an official IQ score. An IQ is measured with standardized tests given by professionals.
• The adaptations and texts have not gone through a psychometric validation study. Use them as a good conversation with yourself, not as a verdict.
